On November 7 the Women’s Initiative sponsored by PNC will hold the Professional Series: Mastering the Art of Negotiation presented by Delta Air Lines. The event is at the Kenton County Library- Erlanger Branch, 7:30-9:00 a.m.

Kimberly Luse will deliver a presentation that focuses on women in negotiations. Far too often, women fail to negotiate, which has ramifications across their professional and personal lives. Salaries, titles, benefits, and a myriad of other critical areas suffer when women do not effectively negotiate for what they need and deserve. There is data-driven research that explains the phenomenon surrounding the differences between male and female negotiations. Strategies to become aware of what underpins behavior which leads to breakdowns in negotiations will be discussed, as well as pathways to correct those breakdowns. Understanding the issues is key, and becoming confident in the ability to negotiate for what is needed from professional and personal interactions will result.
