The NKY Chamber of Commerce Women's Initiative is excited to present their annual regional networking event for professional women, Connecting Shore to Shore: Networking Up, at Aloft at Newport on the Levee on July 29, 4:30-7:00 p.m.

Professional Development

Networking is the reason you attend events so you can meet people. How often, do you find yourself networking with the same people, people you know? Your biggest referral or client could be in the room, you just have to meet them! In this brief presentation, Nanette Polito will talk about the importance of Networking Up and how to do it!

Non-Profit Recipient

The 2019 Non-profit Recipient is the Transitions, Inc.

Transitions has been providing long-term residential and intensive outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment specifically for women, pregnant women and their children for 30 years. Additionally, Transitions provides a 30 bed transitional living home for pregnant and parenting women and their children.

Women that receive treatment at Transitions are not only provided with top notch SUD treatment, they also receive information on health issues, parenting, domestic violence, housing, employment and emotional health. We work collaboratively with St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Northern Kentucky Health Department, Women's Crisis Center and Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission to provide wrap around services for women in Northern Kentucky
